This message will be this final community-wide announcement of the 10th Workshop on the Physics of Dusty Plasmas. This meeting is being held on the islands of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. It is being organized by Auburn University with assistance from the University of the Virgin Islands. The workshop dates are Wednesday, June 18, 2003 through Saturday, June 21, 2003.
The Workshop will consist of 6, 1/2 day sessions from Thursday through Saturday. All talks will be 20 minutes in length and there are approximately 30 talk slots available. Two poster sessions (20 - 30 posters/session), on Thursday and Friday are also planned.
This Workshop in the tenth in a series of US-based topical workshops on the physics of dusty plasmas. Topics to be discussed include:
The final deadline date for online registration, hotel reservations, and abstract submission is Friday, April 25, 2003.
As part of this workshop, Proceedings will be published in a Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science (IEEE-TPS). Both attendees of the Workshop and non-attendees are invited to submit papers to this Special Issue. Articles published in IEEE-TPS are subject to page charges. The conference organizers have secured funding to defray the cost of these page charges. Priority will be given to Workshop participants, students, and researchers from developing countries.
At this time, there is no funding available to support participant travel to this Workshop.
